Portugal Basketball Festival 2025 by NBN23

The 5th edition of the Portugal Basketball Festival powered by NBN23 is scheduled for the 28 and 29 of June 2025, in Lisbon, Portugal!

After four successful editions that brought together teams from across the world, the Portugal Basketball Festival powered by NBN23 returns in 2025 for its 5th edition, promising an exciting celebration of basketball, culture, and inclusion.

The event will take place in Lisbon on June 28–29, and continues to grow as one of the largest international youth basketball tournaments in Portugal. With more than 40 teams from 9 countries already confirmed – including Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Denmark, the United Kingdom, USA, Canada, and the Bahamas – the tournament showcases its expanding global reach and reputation for quality.

The competition is open to both men’s and women’s teams across the following age groups:

• U23 (born on or after 01.01.2002),

• U19 (born on or after 01.01.2006),

• U17 (born on or after 01.01.2008),

• U15 (born on or after 01.01.2010).

Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 4 games, starting with a round-robin group phase on Saturday, followed by placement matches and finals on Sunday.

Among the confirmed teams are SAWUSA, a U.S. collegiate selection attending for the fifth consecutive year; AOS Academy from France, U17 champions in 2023; and Hørsholm 79ers from Denmark, with strong experience on the European youth basketball circuit.

More than just a tournament, the Portugal Basketball Festival is a socially driven event, actively promoting diversity, inclusion, sustainability and fair play. The event will also feature a Festival Village, with food courts, music, brand activations, and interactive experiences for players, coaches, families, and visitors. The Portugal Basketball Festival is organized by O-Sports, a sports tours, training camps and events company based in Portugal and Spain.
